What makes it special

Two steel hulls sit in genuinely deep water. After years underwater, they have become reef structure: large soft corals cover parts of the metal while damselfish and grouper-family fish move around the frames. The combination of a wreck silhouette and Jeju coral life feels very different from a shallow reef.

The map labels Wreck 1 and Wreck 2, but the route depends on current and the team's plan. A sharp thermocline can make water below 30 m much colder even in summer, so choose thermal protection for the deep layer. Available information supports external observation; do not assume wreck penetration is allowed.

Dive guide

• Use appropriate deep- and wreck-diving training and recent experience.
• Set bottom time, gas-turn pressure, no-decompression or decompression plan, and ascent procedure before entry.
• Carry a computer, light, and surface marker buoy; plan for cold deep water.
• If current or visibility worsens, agree on a turn, change, or cancellation plan.
• Never enter a hull without suitable training, equipment, and a penetration plan.
