What makes it special

On the northwest side of Munseom, Hangaechang lets you choose a route to match your depth and experience. Kelp and sargassum sway in the shallows, while around 20 m the rocks carry gasi, purple, and pink soft corals together with black corals. Seaweed forest, coral garden, and wall terrain connect in one dive.

Stay inside the gully for a calmer route, or pass the corner and drift toward Saekki Islet. The same site may be an easy dive in the teens or a deeper 20 m-plus route depending on the team and the sea.

Dive guide

  • Agree on maximum depth, direction, gas-turn pressure, and ascent point before entry.
  • Deeper routes use gas faster and shorten the computer's no-decompression limit.
  • Keep precise buoyancy so fins and equipment do not touch fragile corals.
  • Current around the corner and nearby boat traffic can change; follow the local briefing.
